Bleeding or swollen gums, persistent bad breath, receding gums, loose teeth. Many patients have no symptoms until advanced.
Is gum disease reversible?▼
Early gingivitis is fully reversible. Advanced bone loss is not reversible but can be stabilised.
Is treatment covered by CDCP?▼
Yes. Periodontal scaling and root planing is covered by CDCP.
Does treatment hurt?▼
Done under local anaesthetic. Mild soreness for 1–2 days is normal.
